DETAILS
Encompassing a collection of 4 structures, Kil Architecture’s work on the historic Hobbs Station was part of a large-scale initiative to upgrade Forest Park. Aiming to respect and maintain the historic style and scale of existing conditions, the team developed new buildings and a rehabilitation plan to blend seamlessly into the collective whole of the station. Functional improvements included accessibility upgrades and additional amenities for Forest Park and the adjacent Nickel Plate Express dinner train.

Focusing on interaction with the golf course and patron amenities, Kil Architecture worked closely with Tonn and Blank Construction, the design-build lead, to deliver a thoughtful design. Updated finishes, additional bar and kitchen spaces, new golf simulators and flex rooms, accessibility upgrades, and a revitalized outdoor terrace comprised most of the work for this project.
